Belfast Abundant Life Church’s Urban Angel Fashion show was a huge success with the team raising £1700!

Local sixth form ‘Young Enterprise’ students from Regents School raised another £1000 and donated it on the evening.   A catwalk show, wonderful raffle prizes, a giant Urban Angel cupcake and a clothing sale kept all the guests busy for the evening where fun and fundraising made a difference again.  Well done team for a job well done!

A team of enthusiastic volunteers rose before dawn to go car-booting’ in aid of Urban Angels last week.    Taking some of the left over donated stock, the girls flogged the garments raising a staggering £475.  In true apprentice style, the team bartered, bantered and generally badgered shoppers into making donations to our causes.   Even if the morning started early, the team had a great time making a difference together.

A group of school girls from Yorkshire made friendship bracelets for the children in the Watoto village in Uganda.  Inspired by the Urban Angels message to do small acts of kindness for other people, the girls spent lunch and play times handmaking the thread bracelets to give to the children they had never met.      A team from the Abundant Life Church had the pleasure of giving them out to the children who were thrilled to recieve the thoughtful gifts and proudly tied them onto their wrists (pictured).   Well done girls, we are very proud of you for taking the time out to be so kind.
