By 2010, human trafficking will have overtaken drugs and weapons to be the number one crime worldwide. The UN has named Greece as one of the highest ranking destinations for human trafficking, with over 1800 women and children sold for sex there every day. A21 has established a project centre in Greece, with the aim of rescuing, restoring and rebuilding the lives of these young women.

A21 cares passionately about the individual and works with each rescued girl on a personal basis. The charity offers legal advice, medical care and long term counselling, with vocational training available to eventually restore these damaged young women into society. A21 is currently raising funds to open a restoration home – a safe place for rescued girls to live and receive the professional care they so desperately need.

Urban Angels are partnering with A21 to raise more awareness of this massive problem. The situation these girls find themselves in is desperate but together we can make a difference. By supporting A21 as an Urban Angel, you are rescuing girls – many as young as our school age daughters – from a life of imprisonment, giving them hope and a future. With our help we can support A21 in equipping and staffing the home these girls urgently need and we can become a  wonderful part of their restored life story.
